Product Detail

I. Performance and Applications

AA-AMPS is a co-polymer of acrylic acid and 2-acrylamide-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid (AMPS). Due to the presence of carboxylic acid groups and highly polar sulfonic acid groups in its molecular structure, which exhibit good scale inhibition and dispersing properties, it improves calcium tolerance and has a significant scale inhibition effect on calcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, and zinc scale in water, preventing the deposition of iron oxide, especially showing a high scale inhibition rate for calcium phosphate. It also has excellent dispersing properties. When combined with organophosphorous compounds, its synergistic effect is significant. It is particularly suitable for water quality with high pH, high alkalinity, and high hardness, making it one of the ideal scale inhibitors and dispersants for achieving high concentration ratios.

AA-AMPS can also be used as a textile printing and dyeing auxiliary agent; and as a scale inhibitor for pulp in paper-making systems.
